Project Summary In 2004 the Grant County EDC began working Specialty Chemical to assist them in locating a building in Grant County. On October 1, 2007 Specialty Chemical purchased 4 buildings and 6 acres of land from Central Terminals, LLC at the old sugar beet plant east of Moses Lake.
Specialty Chemicals has removed all the remaining old infrastructure and will invest $30 million in new equipment and upgrades that will convert the site into a facility for producing precipitated silica and fluoride salt.
The new facility will employ 50 people with 35 hourly workers and 15 salaried administrative employees. |
