Project Summary
|
SGL Automotive Carbon Fibers, LLC is a joint venture between SGL Carbon and BMW Auto. The joint venture was formed to manufacture carbon fiber for use in the chassis of BMW's Megacity Vehicle.
The facility will be constructed just east of the Grant County International Airport and the first phase will employ 80 people. Several thousand tons of carbon fiber will be manufactured each year at the facility.
Construction began in July of 2010.
