
Caralyn Bess
Caralyn integrated media/marketing executive and joined Hagadone Corporation in December 2017 as Publisher of Hagadone’s media assets in Central Washington (The Columbia Basin Herald, The Sun Tribune, The Basin Business Journal and Hagadone Digital Washington).
Caralyn began her career with Tribune/Orlando Sentinel holding positions spanning marketing, sales, business development, management, strategic planning & digital/ integrated media.
In 2008, she became President/CEO of Community Publishing Group where she published a children’s educational literacy resource newspaper for all of the School systems in Central Florida.
In late 2011, Caralyn took the helm of Powerful Women Networking, a group of 70 professional businesswomen taking the group from a one chapter, nonrevenue model to an 11-chapter organization in excess of 900 members with four revenue streams in less than two years. She simultaneously served as President/CEO of The Bloom Agency Biz. Her Central Florida agency provided a variety of services from business/strategic plans, pricing strategies, competitive analysis, events and product development to all aspects of marketing including social media, web design, content development & digital marketing strategies.
Prior to joining our community here in Moses Lake, she lived in Williamsburg Virginia where she served as Vice President, Advertising for Tronc’s media assets in Virginia.
Caralyn has served on numerous boards and committees in the various communities where she has lived including BBB of Central Florida (served as Chairman); Central Florida Crimeline; Powerful Women Networking; Boys & Girls Club of Hampton Roads and is currently serving on The MLBACares.org Board and serves the Response Committee for the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce in addition to her role with the GCEDC Board.
