Emily Smith, Business Recruitment Manager attended the show with the Eastern Washington Economic Development Alliance (EWEDA). EWEDA comprises of Grant County, Adams County, Yakima County and the Port of Pasco.

“It’s a great relationship to be able to travel with other communities that have a similar goal to ours,” said Smith. “All of our counties are based in agriculture, so we are able to represent a much larger area. When you speak to companies or site selectors, they know where Eastern Washington is, but they may not know where Grant County is located.”

The World Ag Expo is the largest Agricultural Show in the United States. It featured almost 1,500 exhibitors spread over 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space. The three-day show hosted over 100,000 attendees which represented 48 states, the District of Columbia and 65 countries.
