Joseph was born in Portland, Oregon eventually moving to Moses Lake in 1989 after living in multiple places within the Pacific Northwest during his childhood. After graduating from Moses Lake High School in 1991, Joseph began his search for what to do with his life, along the way he tried his hand as a Firefighter, EMT, Oil Refinery heavy equipment operator as well as a few others jobs in between. After getting married, and the reality of providing for someone other than himself, he went to work for Chemi-Con Materials Corp. a local manufacturing facility in 1996, working his way up to the position of Vice President. Joseph currently works for SGL Group as Head of Operations.

Joseph and his wife, Elvia, were married in 1993 and have three children, Nathaniel, Joshua, and Hannah. They enjoy camping, fishing and going to the gym but more than anything whatever activity can be done as a family. They are faithful members of Sendero Life Center, a local church in Moses Lake.
