Louis Szablya has been in the energy space for over 40 years working for utilities, electric power marketers, manufacturers, and consultants giving him a wide range of technical, commercial, and policy experience. Louis is currently the Team Lead for Grant County PUD’s Large Power Solutions Team.

In the ten years prior to joining Grant PUD he focused on distributed resources such as energy storage and demand response both of which will restore system flexibility that has been eroded by operating restrictions and renewable adoption. He believes there is NO single panacea that will resolve the energy production and distribution issues but rather that there will be a diverse combination of centralized and distributed resources owned by both utilities and consumers.
